Digital Logbooks for
ATF Inspections
Inspection Readiness
- Captures a signed, timestamped visitor record at every check-in.
- Sanctions and denied-party screening before a restricted-area visit is approved.
- Produces evidence packs for any date range or site, in a single export.
The Paper Trail Risk
Manual visitor logs are difficult to search, prone to error, and often fail ATF inspection standards for record integrity. SecurePoint USA digitizes the entire entry process, ensuring every visitor record is complete, searchable, and defensible during a regulatory review.

Digital visitor logbooks with immutable timestamps and secure electronic signatures.
Restricted-Party Screening
Screening against government sanctions and denied-party lists before a visitor is approved for a sensitive-area visit. This is not a NICS background check and does not determine firearms-prohibited status.
Access Control
Visitor tracking, escort assignment, and badge status visibility for restricted areas.
ATF Recordkeeping Standards
FFLs must maintain accurate visitor logs and access records for inspections. SecurePoint USA provides digital logbooks with immutable audit trails that meet strict regulatory recordkeeping requirements for Federal Firearms Licensees.

FFL Compliance Context
In-depth guidance for FFL holders, manufacturers, and security directors.
Does this satisfy ATF recordkeeping requirements?
A visitor log is not one of the records the ATF requires you to keep. Your bound book and your 4473s are, and SecurePoint is neither and does not replace them. What it does is make the visitor record hold up to the same scrutiny: each check-in captures who came, why, who approved them, and an electronic signature, written to an append-only store where update and delete are refused by the database rather than discouraged by the application. Whether a given record satisfies a particular inspector is a question for your counsel and your industry operations investigator.
Can audit logs be shared easily during an inspection?
Administrators can export the record directly. During an inspection you can generate a PDF or CSV covering any date range or site, showing visitor history, stated purpose, and signature timestamps, without reassembling it from separate systems.
Does it integrate with existing site security?
SecurePoint can be paired with existing facility procedures; the app records approvals, screening outcomes, and badge issuance events. That gives FFL teams a documented workflow for sensitive-area visitor handling without relying on paper logs.

Frequently asked questions
Does SecurePoint check whether a visitor is a prohibited person?
No. Prohibited-person status under federal firearms law is determined through a NICS background check, which SecurePoint does not run and does not have access to. What it screens is government sanctions and denied-party lists. Those are different questions and should not be substituted for one another.
Can the visitor log be edited after the fact?
No. Update and delete are refused at the database rather than discouraged in the application, and each audit row is hash-chained to the one before it, so an edit or a gap is detectable.
Which lists are visitors screened against?
Government sanctions and denied-party sources. Which sources apply to a given site depends on your configuration and your own policy, and the sources used for a screen are recorded with its result.
Who decides when a visitor is flagged?
An authorized reviewer. A possible match is held for a documented decision rather than passed silently, and the reviewer and their reasoning are retained with the visit.
