Frequently asked questions
Which identity provider does SecurePoint support?
Microsoft Entra ID single sign-on, with role mapping, including the configured Microsoft Entra GCC High exception where an organization runs in that environment.
How do hosts get notified when a visitor arrives?
Through the channels you configure: email, SMS, and Microsoft Teams or Slack via an incoming webhook on the channel you choose. A host does not have to sit in the product to find out someone is waiting for them.
Can SecurePoint push events into our own systems?
The event types are built and signed so a receiver can verify them: check-in, check-out, approval and denial, screening completion and escalation, adjudication disposition changes, evidence readiness, and badge printing. Outbound delivery is gated and enabled per implementation, not on by default, so confirm it is active for your organization before building against it. There is no inbound callback that accepts an adjudication decision from an external system.
Is the screening API open to self-service signup?
No. API access is enabled per organization rather than through public self-service. The endpoints authenticate with an issued key and carry quotas.
